It seems it was disabled by default in my session. (The first picture is after enabled it)
Provided to show the issue. The lock button is not showed as in other users newly created.
This issue is maintained after some upgrades in the default user.

Thank you for the explanation. Anyways, I recognize again I confused the default behavior of suggested packages with recommended packages.
Nov 29 2019
It started of whatever I thought it was an issue and finished as a question or request about the possibility to let people choose if "install recommends" should be enabled or disabled by default.
Nov 24 2019
Okay, I confirm that apt is configured to install recommended packages by default.
Well it is that or apt by default is configured to install recommended software.

Upstream developers claim it does support things like CalDAV
Oct 24 2019
Then current options don't include general CardDAV and CalDAV support.
Oct 18 2019
Oct 17 2019
As @stefannagy references, its just CardDAV and CalDAV in general, not just Nextcloud/Owncloud as he already said.
Oct 4 2019
Its like two POVs about the same.
I already made a report about the freedom respecting options in GNOME Online Accounts here --> https://tracker.pureos.net/T663
Oct 2 2019
This is a report for GNOME. It seems is not solved yet here. The logo changed but to this. But thank you, then it seems is truly specific from GNOME.
@mladen Thank you for your explanation.
Evolution is on PureOS repositories but not installed by default.
Oct 1 2019
I think it could be "incomplete" because the information is very generic but ofc could be a software issue.
Sep 10 2019
I think you were writing about https://kde.org/applications/internet/org.kde.ring-kde which is the KDE version of Ring/Jami
Sep 5 2019
I don't think this is the way to request for support. Please be kind and read other issues related with your problem first.
Sep 4 2019
@Badger that not was all the idea...
Sep 1 2019
@Badger just check the discussion here https://tracker.pureos.net/T156 (do click on "Show older changes" to check all the discussion).
@jonas.smedegaard thank you for the clarification.

It is true that Freedom Issue here is related with non-free software being attached with a software and/or packages, but I think recommending non-free network services should be included on that.
Showing that is like recommending these non-free network services by default.
Aug 29 2019
I would mark it as a Freedom Issue.

I think there is still a similar problem with Chromium like https://tracker.pureos.net/T663 due to Google dependence/promotion.
If I remember, Chromium is not packaged on Trisquel due to more problems but I am not sure.

Did you boot up PureOS any time? I believe the logo is the text on that font instead of a drawing like others.

I asked him show lshw again to see if hardware is detected, correct driver used and capabilities detection. He said WiFi does not work now he upgraded. On the version before, it only failed to connect.
Feb 16 2019
The driver should be provided by the kernel like the old version.
The first error I read it was related with some kernel modules used for the touchpad but I was not sure. Please, run lshw again and dmesg.
I dont believe upgrade solve your problem but anyways you should maintain your system up-to-date for others reasons and make sure about both errors are not solved yet.
Okay, proceed to upgrade.
About both errors, I saw some posts and could be related with some kernel modules. We should wait for PureOS developers.
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
It would be great if you test the wifi again before to exec dmesg
Please, upgrade your system first. Current available kernel version is about 4.19
Mmm on https://h-node.org/wifi/view/en/1941/Realtek-Semiconductor-Co---Ltd--RTL8821AE-802-11ac-PCIe-Wireless-Network-Adapter/1/1/undef/undef/undef/undef/wifi-works/RTL8821AE is reported as not run with free software but It was on Trisquel 8 (Ubuntu 16.04). Could you put lshw on your terminal and post here the *-network sections of the output?
lspci on your terminal
Please, make lspci on a terminal and post the output here.

software-properties-gtk/green,green,now 0.96.20.2-1 all [instalado]
That pc is using a default installation.
I tried open "Software & Updates" application from launchpad but It did not work. Then, I thought it was possible it returns some information trying run it from terminal and I did it and put the output into the description.
If understand from the subject that the error message mentions "UbuntuDrivers" but is that the applications that you attempted to run, or something else, @EchedeyLR ?
Apparently it can be used for configuring apt repos but I don't know that we need to have that in PureOS by default?
Jan 1 2019
Thank you.

Same problem? https://tracker.pureos.net/T657
Dec 22 2018
Okay, thx. I tried it because I did not want retainet packages. Then should I wait theses packages can be upgraded without theses conflicts?

Sep 11 2018

Sep 9 2018
Also, i removed .gimp-2.8 directory from user and it does nothing.
Also, there is no output from terminal with no option and verbose, console messages and debug handlers enabled.
I have installed it from flathub and i have no problem, it works but i would want use official build, flatpak packages have a bad performance and flathub has propietary software on their repositories
Sep 8 2018
I am using the official repository version.

GIMP worked on my system four updates ago. ImageMagick it works but is very limited and i have no plans to change my default image editor.
Sep 5 2018
