I proposed this for your idea: "Other solution could be that your self-hosted searx instance only uses free search engines like gigablast (just allowed) and findx (not allowed yet)."

Look, I'm sorry I wasted your time, but arguing is not mine, in fact, I do not like it. I will limit myself to report the technical problems that I find in PureOS and I will also report the solutions that I find if I find them, and if not, avoid using it.
Anyway, read all my message.
I have not denied it, i just said "Personally, i have not found ads on FindX search, it could be because i am using adblock plus... then, the adverts should be easily lockable."
Mmm, Gigablast should run without js, it has another options to show banned results, you can add your own domains to the crawl queue but, his code is a bit outdated.

I recommend https://www.findx.com/ and https://gigablast.com/, they are 100% free software.

On the browser case, it would be great if you compare the about:config between firefox (the based version) and purebrowser. On many firefox forks related with privacy and security (like tor browser) about:config have a lot of changes or some of them like disable location services, referer or website fonts, etc.
PureOS 8 is still in beta state. Maybe, the developers will add some features later.

Will users from previous versions need to add his user to the kvm group or will you implement a package with scripts to make necessary changes (if it is possible)?
I like this idea.

I was sawing apps installed some time ago after the upgrade and i saw that timidity (one of them) was running a daemon that i thought it could block the sound input and output, i uninstalled it and after reboot, externals speakers and microphone were detected.
Yeah, name is showed again after reboot.
The "Application menu" extension it works now. I have read that it does not work if you disable "hot corners" on "tweak". Now i am going to disable the extension and reboot to test if "Applications" name it appears again. (They appears after disable but i have not idea if they would appears after reboot)
I read this in a review:
The "Application menu" extension error was reported by some users days ago here: https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/6/applications-menu/ but i did not read about did not appear the name after this.
