Setup your Firefox to access Tor network

  1. Start Tilix and enable and start the tor daemon:

If you don't have it installed, install it:

sudo apt install tor

and start it again:

NOTE: You can also enable the service to start each time your system starts: sudo systemctl enable tor.service
  1. Now start the Firefox and open its Preferences:

torpb2

  1. Under the General tab find Network proxy settings:

torpb3

  1. Setup as shown:

torpb4

  1. Close the settings and open https://check.torproject.org/ to see if you have access to the Tor network:

torpb5

WARNING: Due to the practice of browser fingerprinting, Tor authors strongly suggest that you use TorBrowser which mitigates this.
