File manager: send files as email attachments
You can select a file to be sent as an attachment via email directly from the file manager. To do this you need to have a email client configured (like Thunderbird), and install the plugin nautilus-sendto.
- Open the terminal application Tilix and type the command: sudo apt install nautilus-sendto
- Press enter
- Type your password and press enter again. If you get asked for confirmation, press the key: y or the key representing "yes" in your system language
- Log out and in again
- Right click on a file you want to send via email
- Select the and option "send to..."
And Thunderbird opens a new email with the file already included as an attachment.
