Post-install procedure for oem-based installation

NOTE: This guide assumes first start after OEM prepared installation.
1. First thing you will see after starting your computer prepared with OEM installation disk is the language dialog. Select your language and press !!Continue!!:

2. Select your location:

Click **other** if your country is not on the list and then select your continent:

3. ...and country:

4. Configure locales:

5. Select your keyboard layout:

6. Choose //hostname// for your system (just press `ENTER` if you are okay with **librem**):

7. Enter your full name:

8. ...and your account name (usually the installer will suggest it automatically):

9. And then enter desired password for your user (DO NOT FORGET IT!):

10. If you have selected a country that spans multiple timezones, installer will ask you to select your timezone:
11. In the end, enter your disk encryption password:

IMPORTANT: Do not press the !!Go back!! button at this step, as you will not be able to continue setting up the password and thus unable to finish the installation! You will have to manually install from the start if you do.

WARNING: If you forget this password you won't be able to boot.

A PureOS OEM image is the same image we use when we install PureOS on the Librem laptops at our facility. You can find OEM images for installation here: https://downloads.puri.sm/byzantium/gnome-oem/
NOTE: This guide assumes first start after OEM prepared installation.
1. First screen will let you configure language. Press the menu button {icon ellipsis-v} to search for other languages and press !!Next!! when finished:

2. Select the keyboard layout (Press the menu button {icon ellipsis-v} to search for more layouts):

3. Connect to a wifi network (optional, you can !!Skip!! this step):

4. Turn on location services (optional, you can !!Skip!! this step):

5. Select your timezone:

6. Assign a name to your device:

7. Set up your disk encryption password:
WARNING: Choose your password so that you can reproduce it only with us-international keyboard layout! You won't be able to type non-latin alphabet in the password prompt when you start your laptop.

IMPORTANT: If you forget this password you won't be able to boot and access your data! You will have to re-install PureOS either using our [[ https://downloads.puri.sm/oem/ | OEM ISO image ]] or using [[ https://pureos.net/download.html | live ISO image ]] with [[Installation Guide/Live system installation | Calamares installer]] in order to have a usable system on your computer!
8. Enter your full name and a username for your account:
WARNING: Username must be small caps, else the setup will fail!

11. When you click the !!Start Using PureOS!! button you will be logged out. On your login screen you can type in your account password you set-up in step 9 to log in to your desktop, but it is recommended to restart your device first.
