You can select a file to be sent as an attachment via email directly from the file manager. To do this you need to have a email client configured (like Thunderbird), and install the plugin `nautilus-sendto`.
- Open the terminal application [[ https://tracker.pureos.net/w/pureos/desktop/terminal_emulator/ | Tilix ]] and type the command: {icon terminal} `sudo apt install nautilus-sendto`
- Press enter
- Type your password and press enter again. If you get asked for confirmation, press the key: `y` or the key representing "yes" in your system language

- Log out and in again
- Right click on a file you want to send via email
- Select the and option **"send to..."**

And Thunderbird opens a new email with the file already included as an attachment.
