abiword - favors non-free font if available
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Packages abiword and abiword-common uses non-free font names - i.e. if available then non-free fonts are favored over Free alternatives.

PureOS includes none of the non-free fonts declared, and includes (as is quite common) translation tables to seemlessly use Free fonts instead.

funny thing here is that it has no nonfree fonts at all (it uses Liberation fonts that replace nonfree MS fonts). We will see to do the same maybe as parabola but I think this should be reported to upstream as it is just naming thing, no real nonfree code anywhere. @mladen.pejakovic care to forward this to upstream?

I disagree there is any issue here at all, and recommend to *not* apply the Parabola patch, as it seems to be a result of simple search'n'replace for _potentially_ bad strings - without then checking sanity of the resulting changes.
