2018-05-30 ISO of PureOS, set up in Gnome Boxes with just 2GB of Ram. At the time I had Firefox, Image Viewer, and Gnome Photos open. Attempted to launch Settings and was presented with and error "can not launch Settings. Failed to allocate memory." Closed the open applications and Settings launched. This may be due to such small ram allowance but thought it wise to draw attention to it.

It does indeed sound like there was not enough RAM, but I am not sure what we could do about this?

Correct. I'm unsure as well. I've encountered a similar "low memory" warning on a low end Windows machine (Atom, 2GB) and the warning there wasn't much better or different. This largely won't effect PureOS on Librem hardware aside from the phone which is going to max at 3-4GB. Unless we can develop some sort of active ram switching similar to iOS or Android. I will draw this to Nicole's attention.

Closing as a non-issue: Phones are known to work with their memory constraints, which seems the only real concern here.
