Thunderbird won't open

Description

Whenver I try to open Thunderbird, I get the following message:


I've deleted the .icedove folder, but whenever I try to open Thunderbird again, it reappears. I've updated all my packages, and restarted my machine. I'm currently using version 1:52.4.0-1.

I've been seeing that issue. I made a sources.list with debian repo and making apt-get purge --remove thunderbird && apt-get install -y thunderbird.

It worked for me.

Fixed with an update, a few days later.
