  • Downloaded pureos-8.0-gnome-live_20180530-amd64.hybrid.iso.
  • On boot prompt, chose "Test or install PureOS".
  • PureOS is booting, then I am getting asked a username & then a password.
  • I did not find the username/password in the documentation.

Note: password was actually not required; it logged in directly after entering the username.

This should be resolved in the upcoming images with a small change in casper.

In case it isn't, then this would be a GDM issue, likely a Wayland crash causes GDM to be restarted under X11 and the autologin option isn't taken (at least that's my theory).
But maybe this is resolved now.
