purebrowser: refuses to install too new addons

Hi,

From that page :
https://tracker.pureos.net/w/pureos/tips/web-vids/

I try to install the add-on mentioned but i get this : 'This add-on requires a newer version of Firefox (at least version 55.0). You are using Firefox 45.0.'

How to get through that problem ?

I see 3 options:

  • Wait for newer PureBrowser is released, which is based on a newer Firefox
  • Convince the developers of the plugin to make it more flexible, supporting older releases of Firefox
  • Locate and instead use a similar but more flexible plugin

Thanks for raising the issue here.

Since this is not really an issue with PureOS but with external code, I am marking this as "invalid".

You are still welcome to add info to this issue, despite its state being changed.
