Download and verify the integrity of the PureOS hybrid live/install ISO image

You can download the latest hybrid install/live PureOS ISO image from https://pureos.net/download/.

When download finishes, make sure to check that the sha256 checksum hash matches to the one calculated for your downloaded ISO. This is to ensure the download went fine and the file is not corrupted. You can calculate the checksum using sha256sum utility (run this in your terminal):

sha256sum ~/Downloads/pureos-8.0-gnome-live_20180904-amd64.hybrid.iso

(provided that you downloaded the image to your Downloads folder). Note that the ISO image date string (20180904) may be different.

Or you can use a simple graphical utility called GtkHash (install from Software center):
