Set up simple file sharing in GNOME


Simple file sharing

There's a simple way to share your files from your GNOME session. Open File browser and go to folder Public and click on Sharing Settings button as displayed:

Turn on the sharing:

...and enter a recognizable computer name and activate Fiile Sharing:

If you open Other Locations on another computer/GNOME instance, you should see the shared public folder:

...and you should be able to access it:
