Guide through the process of installing PureOS from live instance, with encryption


NOTE: This guide assumes that you have booted to live PureOS instance.
  • Start the live PureOS instance from a USB you have prepared.
  • Choose option 1 (Start live PureOS) at the boot prompt and wait for the GNOME desktop to fully start.

Repeat steps 1-4 from Live System Installation.

The easiest way is to use automatic partitioning:

In step 5 choose Erase disk option, and tick Encrypt system, and enter encryption password:

Click Next and repeat steps 15-19 from Live System Installation.
