flameshot does not launch on latest PureOS
Closed, InvalidPublic

I am trying to run *flameshot* (a screen capturing software) on PureOS and I am greeted with:

$ flameshot
Warning: Ignoring XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland on Gnome. Use QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland to run on Wayland anyway.

My PureOS version with latest (2019-02-07) updates:

$ lsb_release -a

I think flameshot launches, it is just waiting for input no? If you run $ flameshot gui what happens?

I was able to capture my shell on PureOS via flameshot so it seems to be working?

Ah, so it's a CLI utility? That's why it wouldn't launch from Gnome's search!

Yes `flameshot gui works. The problem was my expectation of something similar to Shutter :)

Sorry for the noise.
