Description

On some Xwayland apps (Mumble and Telegram are the ones where I've been noticing it) I've found that tiling the window in GNOME Shell results in weird artifacts. The artifacts appear pretty consistently when tiling, and go away when I un-tile the window.

Probably this it (or was) an issue with the X11 graphics driver.
Quite some time has passed since this was reported - is the issue still reproducible with PureOS amber or byzantium today?
